SINGLE GALS STYLE GUIDE TO A FIRST DATE: Style Tips!

Impressions are everything and as a 'single gal' your ultimate goal would be to dress to impress on a first date!  For all you know, he could be the one!  But what do you wear on the first date? Questions! Questions! Put Your Hands Up Single Ladies I am here to help with your decision making!
Depending on where you are going on your first date, I am sure you do not want to appear all covered up like a Nun neither do you want to look trashy like a slut so how do you draw the middle line?

An outfit can tell a story and easily describe your personality, the look I suggest to single gals out there is something sexy but also classy for example it's okay to show cleavage but not too much! Its all about drawing the middle line!

On a first date colour choice is very important! Colours are very descriptive, I suggest ' single gals' wear an outfit with colours that do not make you appear like you're trying too hard, are desperate or just too excited to be there.
Depending on where you go on the first date this season I suggest a play with mild colours incorporated with illuminating Pieces. Illuminating Pieces are accessories that lighten up or add a certain brightness to a dark outfit For example A colourful bag, accessories or shoes worn with a black dress!

THE THEME OF YOUR CHOICE OF OUTFIT FOR A FIRST DATE SHOULD BE SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T TAKE AWAY ATTENTION FROM YOU AS A WOMAN! For Instance let your date concentrate on you and not too much on your outfit, You should aim to wear an outfit that would lay emphasis on you as the woman you are and still leave you looking amazing!

I would dedicate this styling article on what to wear to two common locations for a for a first Date
- Dinner Date (Dress up)
- Cinema Date (Dress Down) ... Enjoy :)

Scenario 1

DINNER DATE:
DRESS:
ZARA SILK PRINTED DRESS
A simple dress, very fashionable and appropriate for the season yet not too busy.

SHOES
Blue Top Shop  PHILOSOPHY POINTED COURT HEELS
High Heels (High Heels are a must for a dinner date! It makes you appear confident and it gives away a good impression)

ACCESSORIES
ASOS Gem Flowerpot Earrings!
With accessories less is always more! Especially since you want more attention on you! Beautiful drop down Earrings are enough to do the trick.

CLUTCH
ASOS Metal Handle Foldover Clutch  Yellow Clutch
I suggest yellow because it plays the role of an Illuminating Accessory, which  brings out the beauty of the black dress

SCENARIO 2 CINEMA:
A date to the cinema would require a more casual dress down look and this is why I have used  it as my second scenario! Please Note, Dress down does not mean you cannot be stylish. Read my style suggestion to a first date at the cinema below;

TOP:
ASOS see through Black Peplum top!
Peplum is heavy this season in fashion, I especially like this top because it is peplum with a twist  different from the commonly plain styled peplum tops , it is also  sexy and at the same time classy.

TROUSERS:
ASOS Snake skin skinny jeans
This material is sleek, the prints movement is really big now plus the colour grey elevates the look

ACCESSORIES:
- Neck Piece a simple beautiful pearl necklace

- Blue feather earrings from  NEWLOOK!
It's nice and simple and the blend of colour blue with the black and grey gives the entire outfit something to remember while laying emphasis on your face!

BAG
NEXT Love Penguin Bag!
It's cute and playful and again stays in the colour sphere of the entire outfit!

SHOES:
They are also very cute and playful! The heel is not too high so it doesn't make you look like you're doing too much for a date to the cinema!

MAKE UP:
To compliment these two looks I suggest the 'Single Gal' wears light make up! This gives your date the right impression and speaks volumes of you and your confidence! LESS IS ALWAYS MORE!

Single Gals remember to always dress to fit the type of date you're going for and most importantly stay confident! For a first date the aim is to look stylish yet not take too much attention away from yourself and I've achieved this by choosing the right colours and accompanying accessories for each of the  outfits!
I hope these tips help Gals and please send in your pictures if you do go with them...  ;)
