AUTUMN LEAVES: HOW TO DRESS AS THE LAST LEAVES FALL! (STYLE TIPS!)

AUTUMN LEAVES might be falling however don't store those bright colours away yet!
PURPLE IS SAID TO BE THE NEW BLACK! Dressing up this season of the year is all about incorporating DARK colours to tone down your BRIGHT colours. (YES COLOUR BLOCKING IS STILL VERY IN!) Doing this would keep you in Style yet not looking too bright which would fall perfectly for the season (No pun intended) I.e. a dark blazer on an outfit (vice versa) darker accessories with a bright outfit! , wearing dark trousers or skirt, shirts (i.e. PRINTS) Also LADIES MAKE UP! So basically incorporating 'THe Dark' (As I Call it) Into your outfit! Please note when I say dark I don't mean just black why not incorporate Purple, navy blue, Maroon, Grey e.t.c. into your outfit!

Moral of Today's Style Tip!
- Don't get rid of those bright colours just yet!
- Learn to incorporate 'The Dark' into your bright outfits this autumn/fall!

50 Shades Of Red , Brown , Blue: THE THREE COLOR CONCEPT!

With these looks I applied what I call the 'Three Color Concept' which is simply wearing 3 different shades of the same color in your outfit. It is an easy and great guide to looking good!
You can also achieve this beautiful feat with your entire outfit even your accessories, shoes or make up. You can also apply/wear  the 'Three Color Concept' more than once in an outfit for example in the pictures below I have toyed with 3 shades of Red on top (Blazer, Shirt, Tie) and 3 shades of brown below (Belt, Trousers and Shoes) however in the 2nd look I only used the 'Three Color Concept' on top with my Blazer, Shirt and Tie.

To bring out the 'Three Color Concept' I always tend to wear it with one random color thats not in the circle of there i.e. in
- Outfit 1 My Black Bag
- Outfit 2 Black Shoes
The random color helps to bring out the beauty of outfit also laying emphasis on The 'Three Color Concept'

Its a look I have been experimenting with lately and  it is another dimension of color blocking (See previous Post COLOR BLOCKING CONUNDRUM! ) peep pictures of the two outfits below:

Last Days Of Summer: How I Wore My New Vintage Piece

I recently got this Brown Camouflage shirt from a vintage store in Liverpool. It's baggy so it can also be worn as a jacket!

So Far;
1. I've worn it as a jacket to tone down my bright colours a bit!

2. I've worn it with skinny jeans and White Dr Martens! A look that makes me look like a fashionable soldier lol

Can't wait to experiment with it a bit more ;) ;)

Peep photos of ways I've worn it below;

SideNote: Camouflage and Printed. Shirts (Animal skin) are HERE TO STAY! (huge this season!) incorporate them in your closet ASAP i.e. Accessories, tops, trousers, bags e.t.c.

SATISFIED CLIENT: BEACH WEDDING STYLED!

THE MAIN EVENT!

 For the wedding I styled Nyasha in a long dress which fit perfectly for the beach considering she wouldn't be wearing heels in the sand the dress covered her feet. The dress was detailed around the bust so I decided to go for a simple 'no necklace' look for Nyasha. I also styled her in a lovely glittery purse which went with the dress, a beautiful set of earrings and bracelet  jewelry piece and my favorite the fascinator which uplifted the entire look!

OUTFIT:
Dress - £49 A/X
Fascinator - £60 Debenhams
Clutch - £20 Debenhams
Jewlery Set - £3 Debenhams

Lanre Aluko Stylist + Personal Shopper! (Beach Wear)

SATISFIED CLIENT!
Meet Nyasha Kariwo one of  my clients. She asked me to shop for her and also style her for a vacation to Jamaica where she would be relaxing with family and also attending a wedding!.

1. BEACH WEAR

WHAT I DID.
1. Firstly I got to know Nyasha and her personality, I needed to find out how comfortable she would be pulling off certain looks i.e. wearing a swim suit or a bikini e.t.c
Nyasha has got a sexy body so I let her show it off  with floral bikinis for the beach and for the times where she wasn't sun bathing I bought her 2 beach dresses and styled her in it with the colorful bikinis, beach hat, sun glasses and lovely slippers. For her hair I suggested Nyasha fix braids for the holliday. They are lovely, easy to handle and can be worn different ways, no need for a hair stylist if you just bun it up ;)

I've noticed a lot of people have problems with beach wear. Ladies if you're not too comfortable in a bikini or a one piece I suggest beach dresses, they are life savers and come in different styles and sizes plus they are very appropriate for beach parties, pool parties e.t.c. Dresses like the ones I picked for Nyasha are perfect because they make you feel very sexy without showing too much and also more importantly you look AMAZING and feel very COMFORTABLE (Comfort Is Key!)

These beach dresses are also very cheap. Some stores with good affordable ones are;
- Primark
- New Look
- River Island*

 In fact the two dresses I styled Nyasha cost below £10 each

I also bought a sun hat from Primark to complete the look! If You're going on vacation you deserve to always be relaxed and look GREAT and have a swell time!

The Color Blocking Conundrum (Cont ..)

How do you draw the line between looking stylish and looking like a mad man?
The mistake many make is they think a cobweb of bright colours equates to looking fashionable or good. Well simply put NO!

Firstly colour blocking takes a certain confidence to pull off.
 The secret to it, is bringing together colours (of which any apply bright or dark) which blend to create a perfect harmony as one!

You can do this with not only your outfit but even your hair, accessories, socks, panties or bra! nail colour, teeth colour (ok I'm taking teeth colour too far brush your teeth people lol!) ANYTHING GOES in the beautiful world of fashion!

There are no rules to colour blocking other than the outcome must be appealing to the eyes! Fashion is ART and ART must not be abused!
Peep the photos below of my different outfits as examples of odd colours coming together in perfect harmony!

1. Coral Red Blazer, Hot Pink Shirt, Orange Trousers, Blue Socks, Brown Shoes
2. Cream Blazer, Red Shirt, Maroon Trouser, Brown Belt,Coral Res Shoes, Blue/Red watch, Black Necklace

3. Brown Blazer, White Shirt, Blue Trousers, Yellow Socks, Pink Watch, Brown Shoes

4. Pink Blazer, Yellow Shirt, Blue Trousers, Black Shoes

5. White Blazer, Blue Shirt, Yellow Tie, Green Trousers, Yellow Socks , Black Shoes

6.  Wine Jumper, Grey Tank Top, Mustard Yellow Jeans, White Dr Martens, Black Bag

P.s. Different shades of one colour can also be worn together with another colour or more to achieve a beautiful outcome e.g. My mixture of  50 shades 3 shades of Blue below LOL!
